Finding the right person to talk to

Check out local governmental services Your national government may offer free help, so it makes sense to investigate them. In Britain there are government-sponsored careers guidance companies all over the country. They have a lot to offer: advice, local contacts, access to useful career-related computer programs, and first-level services are usually free. They're always worth trying, and the best ones are very good. They belong to the Careers Services National Association and you can find your local one under "Careers Advice" in your local Yellow Pages, or from your local JobCentre Plus.
