Sandy McMillan has been helping people to find their way since he qualified as a navigation instructor in the Royal Air Force in 1958. After 20 years as an aviator & linguist, and seven as a Rolls-Royce manager & internal consultant, in 1977 I exchanged the comfort and security of the licensed brothel for the excitement of walking the streets (as Malcolm Muggeridge put it) and went into private practice as a management skills trainer & mentor. I feel most of us dont get listened to enough, so have spent a lot of time as a skilled ear to all kinds of folk (from jobless young people to Directors of Lloyds of London) in the UK, Europe, the Middle East & Africa. I carry the toolbox and the oil can while people dismantle the obstacles that stop them moving forwards. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, and of the Institute of Scientific & Technical Communicators; I have a Diploma in Counselling at Work from Roehampton Institute and an Online Tutor Certificate from Abacus Learning Systems & the Institute of Leadership & Management. My books include How To Be A Better Communicator, Kogan Page (1996) & Continuing Professional Development, Fenman Training (1997)
